Northeast circuit of Peru

This tour includes all the wonders of four departments: Amazonas, Cajamarca, Lambayeque and La Libertad. Amazonas

In Amazonas located in the eastern part of the circuit, was developed culture Chachapoyas, who have legacy imposing archaeological monuments as the Fortress of Kuelap, the sarcophagi of Karajía, Revash, the city of the death among others.

Visiting this region and discover its wonders, is a unique and unforgettable experience.

The region of Amazonas is perhaps one of the most interesting geographic areas of the World, its wide variety of orchids and the Gocta fall, the third highest in the world at 771 meters high are some of their fabulous attractions.

Meet the Lagoon of the Condors

The circuit is rich in its range of climates and ecological levels. Being able to enjoy beautiful scenery from its imposing high Andean mountains.
For this reason, flora and fauna of the region is very rich and varied.

Cajamarca

The city of Cajamarca, was the scenary of the encounter between the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro and the Inca Atahualpa. This event marked the end of one of the empires of America.
In addition, the region has a wide variety of pre-Inca archaeological remains as the Canal Cumbemayo and the Necropolis of Otuzco and natural landscapes of great attraction.

Los baños del Inca, historic spa in the region of Cajamarca, are today an important centre spa, which offers its visitors an experience of rest and relaxation surrounded by nature, the same as that enjoyed 500 years ago the Inca Atahualpa.

Lambayeque

The discovery of the tomb of the Señor de Sipán, in the Archeological Site of Huaca Rajada in Lambayeque, is considered one of the most important archaeological finds in the world.

Señor de Sipán was the Governor of the highest social and political structure of Moche civilization, in his tomb were found jewels and gold and silver ornaments, which are now exhibited in the museum of Tumbas Reales de Sipán.

The art of surfing waves has been practised in Peru for over 1500 years. The Moche culture was developed on the coast north of the country, and were the first to challenge the sea with their colourful boats called ”Caballitos de Totora”. At present, Surf is one of the major sports in northern Peru, with privileged areas as port Mal Abrigo with the largest wave in the world.

In Lambayeque, is the Santuario Histórico del Bosque de Pomac, the forest mesquite world's largest, as well as The Reserva Ecológica de Chaparrí, which kept track of species in extinction as the oso de anteojos and the pava aliblanca.

La Libertad

Trujillo is one of the most beautiful cities of Peru, with over one million inhabitants, is the third largest city in the country. As a coastal city, its climate is pleasant throughout the year. Most important cultural activities results from a combination of Spanish and Mochica culture, such as the dance of the Marinera and its exquisite cuisine.

This city offers its visitors beautiful tourist sites such as Ciudadela de Chan Chan, Huaca del Sol y Huaca de la Luna, Huaca El Dragón o Arco Iris, Huaca La Esmeralda, Balneario de Huanchaco, Complejo Arqueológico El Brujo, Puerto Chicama o Puerto Malabrigo, Complejo La Laguna, Complejo Arqueológico de Markahuamachuco, Wiracochapampa, Laguna Sausacocha, Aguas Termales de Yanazara, Aguas Termales de El Edén, Reserva y Santuario Nacional de Calipuy, Complejo Pakatnamú, Complejo Arqueológico Dos Cabezas, Balneario de Pacasmayo, Proyecto Especial de Irrigación Chavimochic in the region of La Libertad.

In addition one of the most impressive works built by the Incas is undoubtedly the Qhapaq Ñan or Gran camino del Inca, which runs more than 20000 km from the South American territory.

In the north of Peru it is possible to do hiking enjoying beautiful landscapes and the culture that surrounds it.
