03 Road:Lima - Tarapoto 02 hours by plane then from Tarapoto to Pedro Ruiz 06 more hours by bus and after 01 more hour to Chachapoyas on a road.

The Main Tourist Attractions
KUELAP
It´s an important archaeological site in Perú, it wasss constructed for Chachapoyas people and they belong to a Pre- Inca culture Kuelap fortress is a big archaeological complex and indean people used limestones to make a biga big wall around the mountain.It´s located at about 3000 masl and situated on the left bank of utcubamba river in the province of Luya. Kuelap fortress was constructed 500 AD until their violent conquest by Icas in 1470´s. It´s well known fact that Kuelap fortress is the north of Perú.
GOCTA WATERFALL
It´s the highest waterfall in the world at about 771 eters high.In that way, it´s the most beautiful in the world.
You can see yellow tailed monkeys, hummig birds and some andean bears. There is much to see around the waterfall: exotic biodiversity in flora and fauna.

KARAJIA SARCOPHAGI
They are the unique way of buring in the world, they have anthropomorphic shape.
Chachapoya people used sarcophagi to bury the most important people inside the caves.
There are small group has between 4 or 8 of them, they are joined and leaning against the wall of cave.
QUIOCTA CAVE
One of the tourist jewel in the Amazon departament is the Quiocta cave. It´s at about 600 meters long and is located in the village of Lamud in the Province og Luya.It´s one hour and half to get it from Chachapoyas city. Inside the cave is possible to find archaeological remains (bones, skulls) and stalagmitesthey are between 5 or 8 high.
PUEBLO DE LOS MUERTOS
(The City of the Dead)
It´s lacated in the village of Lamud the capital of the province of Luya. It´s an archaeological site where there are mausoleums and anthropomorphic sarcophagi, situated close to a cliff at a depth of 400 meters and about 2350 masl. This was a sacred place where indean people worshipped their gods, their ancestors and the most important chief .
BELEN VALLEY
It´s a well known fact that´s the lost andean valley or silver snake because there is a river in the middle of the valley and looks like the body of snake at 2800 masl.

THE CONDOR LAKE
At 93 kilometers in the south of Chachapoyas city(02 hours and 30 minutes by car) first you get the village of Leymebamba from where it takes us nine hours riding mules and on foot to do us km until the condors lake .It´s known like the mummies archaeologists found 3000 properties that belong to inca and Chachapoya cultures..
LEYMEBAMBA MUSEUM
This museum is very well organized and shows the different rooms that housed a wondelful collection of Chachapoya pottery, woven capes, feather embroidered clothes, carved wood and stone tools.There are 219 mummies..
REVASH MAUSOLEUM
Revash mausoleums are tucked into ledges on limestones cliffs high above a tributary of the utcubamba. They are composed of small stones set in mud mortar subsequently plastered and painted in shades of cream and red at 2800 masl.
THE VILLAGE OFLEVANTO
During Inca domination, Levanto was one of the most important settlements in the province of Chachapoyas.In the place there are a lot of archaeological site and between them the most important of them are nine ones.

THE VILLAGE OF LA JALCA GRANDE
La Jalca Grande, is a traditional village where the most of their inhabitans wear a folk and a traditional dress. They worship at la Jalca Grande Church It´s known like the folk capital of the region.
